Faye Ellen (Harriston) Henson, 66 of Sykesville, MD
Passed Wednesday, February 15, 2017 at the Dove House.
She was the Beloved wife of the late Harry Augustus Henson.
Mrs.Henson was born September 26, 1950 in Rock Hall, MD the daughter of the late Oliver Harriston, Sr. and the late Doris Noreen Reed. She worked from 1974 to 1990 at Leona’s Beauty Salon and later worked for Georgetown Salon in Eldersburg from 1990 to 2004. She was an active member of Fairview UMC since 1987 where she had many roles, Lay Speaker, Choir Director, Chairperson of Administrative Board, an usher, and a member of the Hospitality Committee. In addition to her husband she is preceded in death by her infant son Harry Augustus Henson, Jr. and brother Oliver Harriston, Jr. Surviving are her daughter Angela M. Henson and companion Jay Ray, Sisters and Brothers Demetria Addison, Nora Harriston, Janice Ward, Michelle Davis, Thomas Grimes, Arnold Harriston and Aaron Harriston. Loving grandmother of Troy, Tyrice, Jasmine and Janae. Also survived by her step-mother Susie Harriston and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and in-laws.
The Family will receive friends on Thursday, February 23, 2017 4 to 7 PM at Burrier-Queen Funeral Home and Crematory, P.A., 1212 W. Old Liberty Rd. Winfield, MD (beside S. Carroll High). Funeral Services will be held on Friday, February 24, 2017 11 AM at Wesley Freedom UMC, 961 Johnsville Rd. Sykesville, MD 21784.
