Frances Conaway

Frances Rebecca (nee Gearhart) Conaway, age 86 of Taylorsville, MD passed away Thursday, June 9, 2016 at Copper Ridge.
She was born April 26, 1930, in Sabillasville, MD the daughter of the late William Gearhart & the late Grace (nee Fleagle) Gearhart.
The beloved wife of the late Charles C. Conaway.
She was a Lifetime member of the Winfield Vol. Fired Dept. Ladies Auxiliary, the Carroll Hospital Auxiliary, and Ebenezer United Methodist Church. An avid volunteer at the American Cancer Society; organizing Daffodil Days for many year and a Reach to Recovery consultant helping women deal with mastectomies. She loved arranging silk flowers and doing wedding flowers for many brides.
She is survived by her daughter Carolene Will (Gene) of Westminster and her son Charles C. Conaway, Jr. of Mt. Airy. Survived by her brothers John Gearhart, Harvey (Sylvia) Gearhart; Sisters Dorris Lockard, and Ida Gearhart. Sister-in-laws: Gladys Conaway, and Madeline Sipes. Her grandchildren Chuck, Kelly, Billy, Jenny, Chris, and Greg and Great grandchildren Dylan, Cadence, Logan and Will. Also survived by Barbara Conaway.
Preceded by her brother William Gearhart.
Funeral service will be held Tuesday, June 14, 2016 at 11:30 AM With Rev. Judy Emerson officiating at Ebenezer United Methodist Church 4901 Woodbine Rd. Sykesville, MD 21784. The family will receive friends at Ebenezer UMC from 10 AM till the service starts at 11:30 AM; a luncheon will follow the service.
Interment at Lake View Memorial park at 2:30 PM
