Frances ‘Fran’ McFarland Huber, 80, of Westminster, MD, was called home on 16 May 2018. Born 10 January 1938 in Valley Creek, TN, to the late Jesse W. and Bernice H. McFarland Sr., she was the wife of Charles D. (Buzz) Huber of Westminster. They were married for 61 years.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her three loving children and their families. Linda J. Baker and husband Gary, of Westminster, Charles W. (Chuck) Huber of Martinsburg, WV and ‘companion’ Liz DiMaio of New Windsor, NY, and Beth J. Barnes of New Windsor, MD. Also survived by grandchildren M Scott Baker and wife Taylor of Union Bridge, Kelsey L. Baker of New Windsor and ‘companion’ Corey Franklin, Holly M. Huber of Martinsburg, WV, and Hunter S. Barnes of New Windsor. Great Grandchildren Madelyn R. and Grady S. Baker of Union Bridge, and numerous nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her sister and brother-in-law Brenda J. and Walter J. Huber of Cynthiana, KY.
She was predeceased by her parents, and her brothers Isom T. and Jesse W. McFarland Jr.
Fran graduated from Western High School and began work at C&P Telephone in Westminster after starting her family. She retired from AT&T as a Sales Manager after 30 years of service. She spent her retirement enjoying her grandchildren and great grandchildren, and travelling to visit her family in Kentucky, Arizona, and Tennessee. She was an avid sports fan, and enjoyed going to WVU Mountaineer Football games.
The family will receive friends at Burrier Queen Funeral Home on Tuesday 22 May 2018 from 2:00 to 4:00 PM, and 7:00 to 9:00 PM. Funeral services to be held at Burrier Queen on Wednesday 23 May 2018 at 11:00 AM. Internment will be private.
