Francis Pickett

Francis M. “Frank” Pickett, Jr., age 81, of Sykesville, MD., died Friday, July 21, 2023, at Carroll Hospital Center, Westminster, MD.

Frank was the beloved husband of Virginia L. Pickett and the late Naomi I. Pickett.

Loving Father of Karen M. Zimmerman and her husband Michael Zimmerman, Sherry A. Jones and her husband Robert Jones; stepfather of Jonathan A. Branscomb and his wife Melissa Branscomb and Jamie L. Jones.; Cherished grandfather of Matthew C. Ward, Zachary T. Jones and his wife Marissa Jones, Olivia C. Guinard and her husband Sebastian Guinard, Nicole M. McCormick and her husband Michael McCormick, Andrew J P Ward and his wife Rachel Ward, Michael P. Zimmerman and Jocelyn R. Jones; devoted great grandfather of Penelope B. Guinard, Winona R. Guinard, Harrison J. Jones, and Naomi E. McCormick.

He was a Foreman/Plumber and member of the Plumbers Local Union No. 5; receiving awards from Washington Building Congress, “Craftsman Award Winner”; and Certificate of Appreciation from National Sigint Operations Center; He was an outdoors man, avid hunter, and fisherman.

Friends may call at the Burrier-Queen Funeral Home & Crematory, PA., 1212 W. Old Liberty Road, Sykesville, MD 21784 (next to South Carroll High School) on Thursday from 4:00 – 7:00 PM; where Funeral Service will be held on Friday, July 28, 2023 at 10:30 AM; with Rev. Jim Skillington of Morgan Chapel U.M. Church officiating.

Interment Lake View Memorial Park, Sykesville, MD.
