A loving husband and father, Frank “Gary” Parker, passed away in Dover, DE on Wednesday, March 5, 2025.
Gary leaves his wife, Darlene Ann Parker, married for 27 years.
He was the son of the late Frank Norwood and the late Ann Lydia Parker of Eldersburg, MD.
He is preceded in death by his parents and sister, Joann Parker.
Gary served for 9 years in the Maryland Army National Guard.
He was the proud father of Scott and Nick Parker and blessed with a stepson Brian Robinson. Scott lives in Frederick, MD and has one daughter, Cailyn Parker. Nick lives in Union Bridge, MD with his wife Kandy and son, Dylan Parker. Brian Lives in Hampton, NH with his wife Leslie and one son Carter Robinson.
Gary worked as an electrician for Bethlehem Steel for 39 years and 9 years for the Maryland State Prison System in Jessup. He retired to Dover, DE in 2013.
Gary Loved to fish and travel. He loved the Lord and was a born-again Christian. He went on two mission trips with the Nazarene Work and Witness Program to the Panama Canal and Guatemala. His travels took him to Alaska, Hawaii, Las Vegas, Grand Canyon, New England and many states in the South. He also loved to vacation on cruise ships. Gary would tell you he had a wonderful life filled with God, Family, friends and adventures.
A Celebration of Life will be held from 2-5 PM on Monday, March 10, 2025, at Burrier-Queen Funeral Home & Crematory, P.A. 1212 West Old Liberty Road Sykesville, MD 21784 (beside South Carroll High School)
