Frank Joseph Perozziello, age 87 of Randallstown died 31 March 2024 at Randallstown Maryland. Joe was the spouse of 59 years of Shirley Lambert. Joe was born in Rockingham, Vermont the 22 Dec 1936 to Frank and Mary Louise [Smith] Perozziello. Joe graduated Villanova University with a Bachelor of Science in Finance.
He began work for Montgomery Ward as an auditor and later worked for companies such as Bendix and Westinghouse, supporting the nation’s defense and requiring world-wide travel. He retired as a project administrator from Northrop Grumman in Annapolis Maryland in January 1997 after 27 years. Joe was a member of the Navy Reserve Officers Training from 1955-1959 and served in the U.S. Army from 1960-1962.
He was a member of the Sons of Italy, serving as Venerable of the Randallstown lodge and managing the entertainment of the Baltimore Italian Festival in the 1970’s, for which he received a personal President’s Citation of Merit from the Baltimore City Council and was presented with an “Italian Festival Days” proclamation by Mayor William Donald Schaefer. From the time he moved to Randallstown he was a parishioner and usher of Holy Family Church and served on the Parish Finance Committee. Joe was a Certified National Rifle Association Instructor who taught dozens of residents responsible firearm use through the Maryland Hunter Safety program. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus and Loyal Order of the Moose.
But he would often say his most rewarding vocation was serving as an Adult Leader (Cubmaster and Scoutmaster) for the Boy Scouts America for over fifty years having led hundreds of boys resulting in fifty of them receiving Eagle Scout during Joe’s service.
Joe is survived by his wife, Shirley, two sons, Michael Joseph (and his wife Susie [Potter]) of Crownsville, MD, Eric Anthony of Discovery Bay, CA, two grandsons, Stephen Michael of Savannah, GA and Nicolás Francisco of Discovery Bay, CA, one sister, Anna Peltier of Enfield, CT, thirteen nieces and nephews, nineteen grand-nieces and nephews and thirteen great-grand-nieces and nephews.
Services will be conducted at Holy Family Catholic Church, Randallstown, on Wednesday, 10 April 2024 at 1:00PM with Rev. Father Raymond Harris of Holy Family Church
The family will receive friends at Holy Family Church, Randallstown, on Wednesday, 10 April 2024 at 12 noon until 1:00PM. The service will immediately follow the viewing.
Interment will be in Buena Chapel, Canaan Valley, WV on Friday, 12 April 2024 at 1:30pm with Rev. Father Martin Smay of St. Thomas Aquinas Church of Thomas, WV following a brief viewing (11-1PM) at Hinkle-Fenner Funeral Home, Davis, WV.
