Gary Bowen

Gary Nathaniel Bowen, age 74, of Havre De Grace, Maryland died on Monday, December 25, 2017, at his home. Gary was born in Baltimore, Maryland on May 13, 1943, the son of the late Carl Sylvester Close and the late Geraldine Elizabeth Calvert Close.
He had been a member of the United States Army 82nd Airborne division as a paratrooper. After being discharged from the army he worked at Armco Steel while attending University of Maryland law school. After graduating he was self-employed as an attorney in Rosedale, Maryland.
He is survived by his brother, Gene Bowen of Armstrong, Missouri, sister, Geraldine (Bebe) Bowen, of Hanover, Pennsylvania; two daughters, Susan Ensko and Stephanie Cosden; 5 grandchildren; Ryan Reider, Tiffanie Alexander, Kristie Alexander, Kaitlynn Ensko and Charles Alexander III (CJ).
The family will receive friends at Burrier- Queen Funeral Home & Crematory, PA., 1212 W. Old Liberty Road, in Winfield, Maryland on Tuesday, January 2, 2018 at 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.; at which Time Funeral Service will begin at 1:00 PM. Gary will be laid to rest in a private family ceremony in Garrison Forest Veteran Cemetery in Owings Mills, Maryland. www.burrier-queen.com
