Gene Hoffman

On Saturday, February 14, 2016, Gene E. Hoffman, Sr. 79 of Mt. Airy, MD passed away at the Dove House.
Mr. Hoffman was born March 18, 1936 in New Market, MD, the son of the late Frank Hoffman, Sr. and the late Bertha A. (Bussard) Hoffman.
Mr. Hoffman was a pressman for 46 years with the Baltimore Sun. He graduated from Mt. Airy High School in 1954 and was a U.S. Army Veteran.
He was the devoted father of Lisa J. Hoffman of Baltimore and Gene E. Hoffman, Jr. of Westminster; loving grandfather of Jocelyn and Devon Hoffman; great-grandfather of Kaden Schreiner and Trinity O’Hara; dear brother of Harold K. Hoffman and Barbara L. Fink. He is also survived by nephews Kenneth P. Fink and Curtis McCabe.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, February 20, 2016 2 to 3 PM when Memorial Services will take place 3PM at BURRIER-QUEEN FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, P.A., 1212 W. Old Liberty Rd. Winfield, MD 21784. Inurnment will be private at a later date.
