Mrs. Geraldine E .Teague (nee Collins), age 85, of Frederick formerly of Mt. Airy, died Monday, April 3, 2017 at Glade Valley Center in Walkersville, MD.
She was born September 6, 1931 in High Point, N.C., the daughter of the late Charles William Collins and the late Fannie Louise Collins (nee Gilliam).
She was the loving wife of the late William A. Teague.
Mrs. Teague was a beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and great-great grandmother. She was a member of Calvary United Methodist Church in Mt. Airy, and a member of Frederick Chapter #79, (formerly Prudence Chapter #95 of Mt. Airy) Order of the Eastern Star. She was a dedicated, devoted, and loving, family matriarch. She was a graduate of Dana High School in Henderson County, NC and attended Bob Jones University in South Carolina.
Surviving are her children: Belinda K. Teague-Levy and husband Gary of Frederick, Wilma F. Colburn and husband Bill of Mt. Airy, William B. Teague and wife Eileen of Huntingtown, MD, Melody J. Gray and husband Warren of Knoxville, MD, Warren G. Teague and wife Cecilia of Myersville, MD, Russell M. Teague and wife Jackie of Knoxville, MD., She is also survived by her brother, William Earl Collins and wife Virginia of Hendersonville, NC; 16 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.
Friends may call at the Burrier-Queen Funeral Home & Crematory, P.A., 1212 W. Old Liberty Road, Winfield (Beside South Carroll High School), on Friday from 2-4 & 7-9 PM.
Funeral Service will be on Saturday, April 8, 2017 at 8:00 AM at Burrier-Queen Funeral Home & Crematory, PA., 1212 W. Old Liberty Road, with Rev. Deb Scott of Calvary United Methodist Church in Mt. Airy officiating.
