Gilbert T. Hillsinger 73, of Winfield, MD
Passed Sunday, July 16, 2017 at Carroll Hospital Center with family beside him.
He was the beloved husband of 51 years to Wanda A. (Brown) Hillsinger.
Mr. Hillsinger was born November 4, 1943 in Ellicott City, MD the son of the late Stephen Henry Hillsinger and the late Maude E. (Barnes) Hillsinger.
He was a concrete mixer driver for over 40 years with Harry T. Campbell and Sons/LaFarge. Mr. Hillsinger was honored by the MD Motor Vehicle Administration for 40 years Safe Driving. He was owner of Tractor Magneto Repair (self- taught mechanic), loved to restore and collect tractors, and was a member of MD 2 Cylinder Tractor Club, former Director of Mason-Dixon Historical Society and Carroll County Farm Museum. He was veteran of the US Army. Mr. Hillsinger loved Doo-Woop music, crabbing, blue grass music, farming and was an antique gun enthusiast. He was also a big fan of American History and loved Wildlife.
Devoted father of Michelle Holly Hillsinger of Winfield and Wesley T. Hillsinger of Eldersburg. Dear brother of late Helen Patacca and late Robert Janowick, Leona Cope of Ellicott City, Marcella Ericson of FL, Carl Hillsinger of the Eastern Shore, MD and Linda Hillsinger of PA. Also survived by numerous nieces, nephew and will be remember by his feline companions.
