Gloria Happel (nee Lipford), of Mt. Airy, MD, passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 13, 2024 at her home surrounded by family. She was the beloved wife of the late Marvin W. Happel, loving mother of Mark (Laura) Happel of Mt. Airy, MD, and Cindy (Brian) Bullock of St. Paul, MN, loving grandmother of Sean (Corinne) Happel, Maria (Clayton) Traver, Reland (Tori) Finch, Kimberly (Samuel) Neal, Victoria Glasgow, and Matthew (Callie) Bullock and loving great-grandmother of Johann, Lukas, Samuel, Zoe, Peri, Alex, Summer and Arthur.
Gloria deeply loved children, quilting and flowers.
The family will receive friends from 7-9pm on Tuesday, January 16, 2024 at Burrier-Queen Funeral Home, 1212 W. Old Liberty Road, Sykesville, MD 21784.
A funeral service will be held Wednesday, January 17, 2024 at 12 noon at Calvary Lutheran Church, 16151 Old Frederick Road, Mt Airy, MD 21771.
Private Interment at Peninsula Memorial Park, Newport News, VA.
Memorial Contributions to: St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or Calvary Lutheran Church.
