Gloria Lee “Pat” Wilson, 91, of Sykesville passed away peacefully at the Dove House in Westminster, Maryland on Wednesday, August 25th. She was born on July 24, 1930, to Joseph and Mary Mildred Eckert. She was the wife of the late Carl D. Wilson. She was predeceased by her beloved son R. Douglas (Doug) Wilson.
Surviving are her two daughters, Carolyn A. Poff (husband Ronald Poff) and Tammy L. Eline-Reiter (husband Richard Reiter). She had 5 grandchildren (Tracey Dear, Sheri Cramer, Brian Wilson, Kevin Spurlock and Erica Fleck), 5 great-grandchildren, and 8 great-great grandchildren, and one spoiled Grand-dog.
She was a homemaker and bookkeeper for the family business. She worked at Little George’s in Winfield for over 17 years where she made many friendships. She loved nothing more than spending time with and taking care of her family, dancing, traveling (as long as it was in a vehicle), but her favorite hobby was going to the Casino at Charlestown WVA with her late sister-in-law, Elza. She will be sadly missed by all that knew her and loved her.
The viewing will be held at Burrier-Queen Funeral Home, 1212 W. Old Liberty Road, Sykesville, Maryland 21784 on Sunday, August 29th from 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-8:00. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Monday, August 30th at 10:00. Interment will be at the Harmony Grove Cemetery on Klee Mill Road, Sykesville.
