Gordon Samuel Davis, age 82, of Mt. Airy , MD died Monday April 4, 2005 at Westminster Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Westminster , MD
He was born August 7, 1922 in Gaither , Maryland the son of the late Samuel George Davis and the late Rosa Ruth Woodward Davis.
He was a retired Foreman for the Maryland State Dept. of Transportation 35 years. He also worked for B & O Railroad and farmed. He was a member of the Maryland Classified employees Association since 1962 and was a member of Calvary Lutheran Church .
He was the husband of Myra Virginia Davis (nee Porter) of Mt. Airy , MD.
He was the father of Paul J. Davis and wife Deborah of Mt. Airy and the late Andrew G. Davis and surviving daughter in law Patricia of Mt. Airy.
Grandfather of Paul J. Davis, Jr. and fiancé Linda of Hampstead, Wendy Rosenberger and husband James of Waynesboro, PA and Abby Davis of Mt. Airy, MD.
Great grandfather of Emma N. Davis of Hampstead and Katie M. Rosenberger of Waynesboro , PA.
Brother of Calvin C. Davis and wife Betty of Mt. Airy and Carl N. Davis of Mt. Airy and the late Wilbur G. Davis.

Funeral Service Friday April 8, 2005 at 11:00 AM at Burrier-Queen Funeral Home & Crematory, P.A., 1212 W. Old Liberty Road, Winfield, MD, with the Pastor Roger L. Rinker of Calvary Lutheran Church in Mt. Airy officiating.
Interment will be in Mt. Olive Cemetery , Gills Falls Rd.
