Harold Shone

Harold F. Shone Jr, 64, formerly of Daytona Beach FL, passed away August 7, 2018. Born in Rochester, NY, he was the son of the late Harold F. Shone and Lillian (Lanthrop) Shone. Harold retired in 2006 from the Adams County Public Works Department in Colorado and moved to Daytona Beach to spend his retirement years. He was an avid outdoorsman and sports fan and enjoyed hunting, fishing, watching Nascar races and the Buffalo Bills. But most of all, he loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He was extremely kind and funny and had a knack for making people laugh and feel like they were family. He could always be counted on by friends and family to lend a helping hand.
He is preceded in death by his parents and sister Barbara. He is survived by his children; son Courtenay Shone of Aurora, CO and daughters Desiree (Michael) Williams of Eldersburg, MD and Tara Shone of Silver Spring, MD; two grandchildren Cael and Ellie; sisters Carol, Sharon, April, Sandra, Eva, and Virginia; brother George; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. The family plans to hold a memorial service in Colorado where Harold spent much of his time fishing, hunting, and raising his three children. He will be missed my many, but most of all his children and grandchildren.
