He was the Beloved husband of over 69 years to Jean (Griffin) Fischer.
Born June 23, 1928 in Baltimore, MD the son of the late Harry August Fischer and the late Anna Louise (Kraft) Fischer. Mr. Fischer retired in 1993 after 28 years of being owner of Harvest Inn Family Restaurant, the first sit down restaurant in Eldersburg. He was Past President of the Restaurant Association of MD and Eldersburg Business Association. His hobbies included fishing, golfing and spending time with his family.
Surviving in addition to his wife are daughter and son-in-law Carol A. and Tony Trombetta of Eldersburg, daughter and son-in-law Barbara J. and Chuck Parrish of New Windsor. He was the loving grandfather of Zachary Trombetta, Ashley Schleicher, Joseph Trombetta, Kelly Keiffer, Sara Rodriguez, Jennifer Dueck and Natasha Parrish. Also survived by numerous great-grandchildren.
Services are private.
Interment will be in Lake View Memorial Park, Sykesville, MD. In lieu of flowers donations maybe made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital 501 St. Jude Pl Memphis, TN 38105-9959 Online condolences at
