Harry Franklin

Harry Ellsworth Franklin, age 77, of Taylorsville, died Saturday, October 13, 2012 at his home. He was born January 31, 1935 in Taylorsville, MD the son of the late Naomi Louise Koontz Franklin and the late Olin F. Franklin. He was the husband of Margaret Louise Conaway Franklin his wife of 56 years. He was a builder for more than 30 years. He was President of Ideal Homes, Inc. and the Owner of Ridge Cabinet Company; he enjoyed spending time on his farms and sightseeing. He enjoyed woodworking. He was a member of Westminster Elks and Moose and Farm Bureau. He was in the Army Reserves. Surviving in addition to his wife are daughter Karen Franklin of Taylorsville, Son Mark Franklin and daughter in law Tammy Franklin of Taylorsville and son Kevin Franklin and daughter in law Rebecca Franklin of Winfield; grandson Kyle Franklin, granddaughters Amy Franklin, Caitlyn Crawford, step grandsons Adam Granic, Christopher Tetlow and wife Colby, step grand-daughter Jessica Morataya and husband Will, step great grandchildren Blake, Ryan and Evan Morataya and Madelyn Tetlow, Evie and Riley Karstens. Predeceased Sister Frances Buckingham and Brother William Franklin and sister in law Julia Franklin. Friends may call at the Burrier-Queen Funeral Home & Crematory, PA, 1212 W. Old Liberty Road, Winfield (Beside South Carroll High School) on Tuesday from 2-4 & 7-9 PM; where Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, October 17, 2012 at 11:00 AM with Rev. O.F. “Bud” Kibbe officiating. Interment Taylorsville U.M. Church Cemetery in Taylorsville, MD.
