Hazel M. Compton (nee Campbell), 90 of Mt. Airy, MD passed away on Wednesday, February 14, 2024, at the Kline Hospice House in Mt. Airy, MD.
She was born May 3, 1933, in Rose Hill, VA, the daughter of the late John E. Campbell and the late Nora Campbell (nee Frye).
She was the wife of the late Leland J. Compton, Sr. of Mt. Airy of 58 years.
She worked for the Howard County Office of Aging for 20 years and then worked as a Tax preparer for Jackson Hewitt.
She was the mother of Toni M. Archer and husband Jim, Leland J. Compton, Jr. and former wife Debra Wagner and Robin P. Schneider and husband Jim. Grandmother of Chelsea Archer, Wills Archer IV, Leland J. Compton III, Christopher J. Compton, Sarah E. Schneider, and Joshua Schneider, also survived by great grandchild Lavinia June Compton.
