Hazel May “Miss Hazel” Esworthy (nee Condon), age 94 of Lisbon died Friday March 29 at Lorien of Mt. Airy.
She was born July 19, 1918 in Woodbine, MD the daughter of the late Lee L. Condon and the late Bessie Barth Condon.
She retired from Howard County Food Program at Lisbon Elementary School after 32 years. She was a Charter Member of Lisbon Fire Co. Ladies Auxiliary for over 62 years ;also the treasurer of the auxiliary and treasurer of Ladies Auxiliary to Howard Co. Fires Association. Member of Lisbon United Methodist Church. Loved to play Bingo and participate in activities at Lorien.
Survived by brothers and sisters Eddy Condon and wife Jeanne of Woodbine, MD and Robert Condon and wife Noralee of Berkley Springs, WV and Martha Harrison of Mt. Airy and Betty Duvall of Woodbine.
Sister in law of Betty Condon of Westminster, MD
Survived by grandchildren Tom and Fran Esworthy of Lisbon, Joyce and Ken Kubu of Damascus and numerous nieces and nephews and other grandchildren.
Predeceased by Husband Robert Esworthy, Sr., Son Robert Lee Esworthy, Jr. and brothers Harvey and Eugene Condon and sisters Lorraine Clary and Evelyn Fleming.
Funeral Service at Lisbon U.M. Church 15875 Frederick Road, Lisbon, on Wednesday April 3rd 2013 11:00 AM.
With interment in Morgan Chapel Cemetery, Woodbine, MD
Friends may call at Lisbon U.M. Church on Tuesday, April 2, 2013 from 2-4 & 7-9
