Helen Virginia Mercer (nee Cutsail), age 79, of Sykesville, died Tuesday, August 13, 2013 at Carroll Hospital Center in Westminster, MD.
She was born August 21, 1933 in Sykesville, MD the daughter of the late Roy Cutsail and the late Addie Gue Cutsail.
She was the owner of the Sykesville 5 & 10 Store. She was a retired secretary for Spring Grove State Hospital.
She was the wife of the late David C. Mercer.
She was the mother of Sharon K. Phillips and husband David of Sykesville. Loving grandmother of Heather N. Phillips of Winchester, VA.
Friends may call at the Burrier-Queen Funeral Home & Crematory, PA on Wednesday from 6-8 PM and Thursday from 2-4 & 6-8 PM; where funeral service will be held on Friday August 16, 2013 at 1:30 PM with the Rev. Charles Barnhart officiating.
Interment Springfield Cemetery, Sykesville, MD
