Herman Buswell

Herman Stewart Buswell, age 71, of Mt. Airy , died Friday August 31, 2007 at his home. He was born February 17, 1936 in Philadelphia , PA the son of the late Herman Stores Buswell and the late Anna Garver Buswell. He was a retired engineer for the Department of Navy for 44 years. He was a member of the Mt. Airy American Legion Gold Post 191. He survived in the US Navy from 1955-1959. He was the beloved husband of Carol Buswell of Mt. Airy for 45 years. Devoted Father of Aimee Buswell of Mt. Airy, Kieth Buswell & wife Dana of Mt. Airy, Lisa Grotte and husband Palmer of Mt. Airy and Daniel Buswell of Frederick, MD. Loving grandfather of Derek Ward and fiancée Tiffany Harrison, Casey Grotte, Carey Grotte, Paige Grotte, Josh Buswell, Kirstyn Buswell, Logan Buswell, Justin Grotte, Benjamin Grotte, and Amanda Grotte. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and cousins. Funeral Service will be held Wednesday September 5, 2007 at 2:00 PM at Burrier-Queen Funeral Home & Crematory, PA 1212 W. Old Liberty Road , Winfield (Beside South Carroll High School) with the Dr. Paul A. Hill officiating. Interment Prospect U.M. Church Cemetery , Mt. Airy, MD. Friends may call at the Burrier-Queen Funeral Home & Crematory, PA on Tuesday from 2-4 & 7-9 PM. Mt. Airy American Legion Post 191 Service Tuesday evening.
