He was born November 2, 1922 in Baltimore, MD the son of the late Herman C. Engel, Sr. and Jennie (Smith ) Engel.
He was a Forman, Die Sinker, and Pattern Maker for Stieff Silver Company. He was a 32nd degree Mason, A Member of Sharon Lodge #182 A.F. and A. M. and Boumi Temple. A Veteran of the US Army, Rank Tech 5. Hobbies included being a Ham Radio Operator, fishing, crabbing and working on clocks.
Surviving are Daughters and their Spouses Darlene C and Robert Gildert of Elmira, CA, Jennie G. Engel-Myers and Karl Myers of Sykesville, Sister Mildred McDermott, Brother Robert Engel, Sr. Grandchildren Raymond, Tammy and Timmy Freeman and Carolyn Gildert. Preceded in death by Daughter and her spouse Linda M and Raymond Freeman and Brother Clarence Engel.
The Family will receive friends on Tuesday, October 20, 2015 10am to 12 noon with a Masonic Memorial Service at 11:45 AM and the Funeral Service at 12 Noon at BURRIER-QUEEN FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, P.A. 1212 W.
