Howard E. Colson, Sr., 63 of Sykesville, MD was called home to be with the lord on Tuesday, November 5, 2024, at 5:34 PM with his kids by his side.
He was born October 3, 1961, at Frederick Memorial Hospital in Frederick, MD.
The son of the late Howard Leroy Colson and the late Barbara Jane Colson (nee Harrison).
He was well known for his time working at the Woodbine Inn for his delicious steamed crabs. He enjoyed playing cards and playing pranks on others. He loved putting a smile on everyone’s face and making them laugh. He also enjoyed doing lawn care with his son and his greatly loved nephew David Colson. His favorite thing to do was spend time with family, especially his grandkids driving them around.
He is survived by his children Jana & husband Adam Hall, Howard Colson, Jr. & wife Heather, Emily Colson & fiancé Branden Johnson, and Lukas Freeman. Grandchildren Caleb Colson, Kaylee Colson, Howard Colson 3rd, Rose Johnson, Adam Hall Jr., and Ellie Johnson. Brother of Gail Porter, Deborah Boone (Danny), Betty Harrison (Terry), Dennis Colson, Ricky Colson (Karen), Charles Colson (Betty), and Bonnie Colson. He was the man that supported and loved all his nieces and nephews dearly. He is predeceased by his grandson Boe Johnson and sister Linda Taggart and his forever sweetheart and mother of his children Patrica Freeman Lewis.
There will be a celebration of life welcoming family and friends on Saturday, November 16, 2024, from 1pm-5pm at the Winfield Fire Hall, 1320 W Old Liberty Rd, Sykesville, MD 21784.
In lieu of flowers donations may be sent to help with medical and funeral expenses to Howard Colson, Jr 7509 Norwood Ave Sykesville, MD 21784.
