Howard William Davis, 83 of Mt. Airy, Md passed away on Thursday, December 9, 2021, at St. Agnes Hospital surrounded by his family.
Howard was the beloved husband of Wilma Jane Davis (nee Gribble) for 61 years.
He was born July 24, 1938, in Braznell, PA the son of the late Herbert Davis, Sr. and the late Edith A. Davis (nee McCormick).
He was a Veteran of the United States Navy. He was employed by the National Institutes of Health for over 30 years. He enjoyed traveling with his family visiting 49 states and general Providences in Canada. He also enjoyed camping, working, and touring with Old Cars.
Surviving in addition to his wife are his 2 sons Brian Davis & Carl Davis and wife Nona. Also survived by his 2 grandsons Michael and Luke Hudson and his sister Kate.
He was preceded in death by his siblings Mildred, Eleanor, Hebert Jr., Dorothy, Verena Dean, Margret, Robert and Ellwood.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, December 19, 2021, from 2-4 & 6-8 PM at Burrier-Queen Funeral Home & Crematory, P.A. 1212 West Old Liberty Road Winfield, MD 21784 (Beside South Carroll High School).
Funeral Service will be held on Monday, December 20, 2021, at 10 AM at Friendship Baptist Church 1391 Sykesville Road Sykesville, MD 21784.
Interment at Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
