Howard Eugene “Howie” Price, age 82, of Mt. Airy, Maryland, died Wednesday, August 28, 2013 at Carroll Hospice, Inc.-Dove House in Westminster, MD.
He was born December 9, 1930 in Baltimore, MD the son of the late Cecil Henry Price and the late Ida Mae Maddox Price.
He was an Insurance Agent for State Farm Insurance Companies for 55 years. He was a member of the Lions, K OF C, Colt Corral, Old Timers Baseball & Fast Pitch. He served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War as an S/SGT.
He was the husband of Nancy A. Price (nee McDonnell).
He was the father of Victoria Price Helvig of Owings Mills, MD, Susan Price Siperko and husband Gary of Gettysburg, PA, Gary Michael Price and wife Marion of New Brunswick, NJ, Pamela Price O’Bryhim & husband Joseph of Eldersburg, MD also survived by step-daughter and son in law Lisa and Troy Slifer of Mt. Airy, MD, Leonard A. Williams, Jr., and Lynn Williams of Hampstead, MD.
Also survived by 17 grandchildren; 8 step grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren; 2 step great grandchildren.
Gathering will be held at Burrier-Queen Funeral Home & Crematory, PA, 1212 W. Old Liberty Road, Sykesville (Beside South Carroll High School) on Wednesday, September 4, 2013 from 5-8 PM. Memorial Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, September 5, 2013 at 9:30 AM St. Joseph Catholic Community, 915 Liberty Road, Eldersburg with the Fr. David McGuigan officiating.
Inurnment with Military Honors will be in Garrison Forest Veterans Cemetery.
