He was the Beloved husband of Jean (LaFollette) Gartland.
Mr. Gartland was born September 30, 1937 in Baltimore, MD.
He was a Veteran of the United States Navy, owner and Master Plumber for J. Joseph Gartland, Inc., a member of Sykesville American Legion Post 223, enjoyed gardening, playing cards, fishing and boating in the Florida Keys, crabbing at Beach Harbor and spending time with his family.
Surviving in addition to his wife are children and their spouses, Joe and wife Betsy Gartland, Michael Gartland, Scott Gartland, Eric and wife Bonnie Gartland, Wendy and husband Keith Hundertmark, Christian and wife Stephanie Gartland; Grandchildren Jenna, Katie, Tabitha, Malissa, Devony, Corina, EJ, Shelbe, Nick, Audrey, Louis, Chase and Kyle; Great-grandchildren Jameson, Giuliana , Landen, Bentley and Rosalie.
