J. Vincent Woodfield, age 88, of Mt. Airy, MD, died Tuesday, December 13, 2016 at Carroll Hospice-Dove House in Westminster, MD.
He was born February 27, 1928 in Damascus the son of the late J. Leslie and Clyta B. Mullineaux Woodfield. He was the husband of the late Rebecca Boone Woodfield.
He was a Service Technician for the family owned business, Damascus Electric Company, a member of Damascus American Legion Post # 171, a veteran of the U.S. Army. Mr. Woodfield was an avid Fisherman.
Beloved father of Janet Woodfield and husband David Glenn of Mt. Airy.
Grandfather of Kelli Oden and husband Joseph and Joseph Kipe Loving Great-grandfather of Levi Oden. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by siblings Beatrice Browning, J. Willard Woodfield and Dorothy Browning.
Gathering of family and friends will be held Sunday, December 18,, 2016 at Burrier-Queen Funeral Home & Crematory, PA., 1212 W. Old Liberty Road, Sykesville, MD 21784 (Beside South Carroll High School) on Sunday from 2-5 PM. Private Inurnment.
