Jackie Wilson Motley, 82, of Sykesville, MD, passed away peacefully in her home on January 29, 2024.
She is survived by her children Deborah (Mark) Hartman, Theresa Gwyn, and Donna (Brett)
Butcher; her adored grandchildren Jessica Rae Mendez (née Gwyn), RDN (Mich Mendez, MBA); USN
Lieutenant Richard Hartman; Samantha Gwyn Collins, PA-C (Garrett Collins, M. Div.); Dr. Amanda
Hartman Gavalas (Dr. Anthony Gavalas); Scott Gwyn, MPIA; and Skyla Butcher; and beloved great
grandchildren Scarlett and Theo Mendez, and Isaac and Jane Collins. She also leaves behind her sister, Janis Sims, and other dear family members.
She is predeceased by her parents Ben Jack Wilson and Virginia Hicks Weaver (Michael Weaver).
Jackie enjoyed a successful career in the U.S. Customs Service where she retired as a Congressional Liaison Officer.
The family held a private ceremony to honor her life and legacy. Friends who wish to honor Jackie are invited to donate to an organization that cares for pets, such as local cat rescues or humane societies.
