James Burdette

James “Jim” Thomas Burdette, Sr. 90 of Mt. Airy, MD passed away on Sunday, April 18, 2021.
He was the husband of the late Anna M. Burdette (nee Black).
He was born February 28, 1931, in Frederick, MD the son of the late Melvin F. Burdette and the late Sarah A. Burdette (nee Bowers).
Jim worked for Stem’s/Ace Hardware as a salesclerk.
He is survived by his brother Paul Burdette & wife Mary Ellen, his sister Beatrice Wright & husband Richard, and Marion Bowers and his two sisters in law Doris Burdette and Alice Burdette. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his 2 brothers Wilford Burdette and Stanley Burdette and his son James Thomas Burdette, Jr.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, April 25, 2021 from 2-4 & 6-8 PM at Burrier-Queen Funeral Home & Crematory, P.A. 1212 West Old Liberty Road Winfield, MD 21784 (Beside South Carroll High School). Where funeral service will be held on Monday, April 26, 2021 at 11 AM. Mask must be worn at the funeral home.
Interment at Locust Grove Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Winfield Volunteer Fire Department 1320 W Old Liberty Rd, Sykesville, MD 21784.
