James Griffin

James “Jim” Neal Griffin, 77, of Sykesville, MD, passed away on Tuesday, February 11, 2025, peacefully at his home.
He was the beloved husband of Naomi Griffin for 50 years.
He was born May 10, 1947, in Hobart Oklahoma, the son of the late Ira Neal Griffin and the late Mary Helen Fellows
Jim was a Veteran of the United States Marine Corps, serving his Country for 4 years. He was the owner of Griffin TV for a decade in Oklahoma; he then went to work for NSA for over 25 years. Jim enjoyed spending time working in his yard and his garden, collecting coins, woodworking, taking day trips with his wife especially to Longwood Gardens in PA and taking trips to Alaska. He had strong faith in his Lord and Savior. Jim loved spending time with his family.
Surviving in addition to his wife are his children Wesley Noel Griffin & wife Kim, Walter Clarke Griffin & wife Heidi, and Valerie Kay Watt & husband Brian; grandchildren Brighton, Emmalynn, Connor, Ava, Austin, and Mason. His daughter Holly Lovett and her family. Also survived by his siblings John Luther Griffin, Mary Anne Johnson, and Saralou Mitchell.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, March 15, 2025, at 11 AM with a gathering from 10 AM to 11 AM at Burrier-Queen Funeral Home & Crematory, P.A. 1212 West Old Liberty Road Sykesville, MD 21784 (beside South Carroll High School).
