James “Jerry” A. Hagan, 83 of New Windsor, MD passed away on Monday, December 16, 2024 at the Dove House, in Westminster, MD.
He was the beloved husband of Pearl Hagan (nee Lacer) for 60 years.
He was born January 27, 1941, in Baltimore, MD, the son of the late James M. Hagan and the late Audrey Hagan (nee Baynard).
Jerry graduated from Southern High School in 1959, where he was a star cross county athlete. After graduation he served in the National Guard from 1959 to 1966. He then went on to start his own construction company, Jerry Hagan Builder and Classic American Homes building homes in Carroll County Maryland for almost 50 years. Jerry enjoyed going snowmobiling and four wheeling, playing senior softball, but his favorite thing was going to Ocean City with his family.
Surviving in addition to his wife is his son Shawn Hagan & wife Stephanie; 3 grandchildren that he adored Erin, Allison & Piper; and his sister Mary Ann White. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews; a special thank you to Becky & Bob Marcucci for the many years of support and help.
He was preceded in death by his sister Blanche Martin and brother Calvin Hagan.
The family will receive friends on Monday, December 23, 2024, from 1-3 & 5-7 PM with a service starting at 7 PM at Burrier-Queen Funeral Home & Crematory, P.A. 1212 West Old Liberty Road Sykesville, MD 21784 (Beside South Carroll High School).
Inurnment on Thursday, December 26, 2024, at 11 AM at Deer Park Cemetery 2200 Sykesville Road Westminster, MD 21157.
