James “Jim” Edward Miller 79 of Woodbine.
Passed Wednesday March 15, 2017 at his home.
Beloved spouse of over 55 years to LaVonne (Shook) Miller
He was born December 7, 1937 in Sunnyside, MD the son of the late Phillip Lindsey Miller and the late Mildred Regina (Fahey) Miller.
Mr. Miller was a carpenter for various different companies and in his retirement was a plumber for J. Joseph Gartland. He loved to play slots, Bingo, go fishing and camping.
Surviving in addition to his wife are Daughter Susan and husband Todd Ashley of Woodbine, Daughter La Donna Lang and Son-in-law Wally Lang of Winfield, Daughter Kimberly Miller of Thurmont. Sisters Phyllis Izzett, Linda Neild and Ruth Athey. Grandchildren Chelsie Lang, Samantha Lang, Wyatt Ashley and Sydney Ashley. Preceded in death by siblings Bob, Sonny, John, Norma and Sugar.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, March 18, 2017 10AM to 12 PM with Funeral Services taking place at 12 NOON , All at BURRIER-QUEEN FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, P.A., 1212 W. Old Liberty Rd. Winfield, MD 21784. Interment will be Monday, March 20, 2017 1 PM at Sunset Memorial Park, 13800 Bedford Rd. Cumberland, MD 21502.
