Mr. James Previti, 82 of Mt. Airy, passed away at his home on April 17, 2009. He was the beloved husband of Charlotte Elizabeth Martin Previti for 43 years. He always stated proudly that he had never removed his Wedding Band during that time. He was born July 19, 1926 in Philadelphia, PA the son of the late Samuel and Pauline Previti. James served as a Seaman First Class in the US Navy during World War II. He was a member of Prudence Lodge #190 A.F. & A.M. of Mt. Airy, MD, a member of Almas Temple Mini Motors, a life Member of Naomi Chapter #3, Washington DC, 32 degree Scottish Rite, Member of Mt. Airy Volunteer Fire Department, a retired Sheet Metal Worker and member of local 100. He was also a member of Prospect United Methodist Church. He was a fan and enjoyed watching the Baltimore Orioles and Ravens and doing crossword puzzles. In addition to his wife he is survived by his brother Louis Previti of Gettysburg, PA, Daughters Paula Snyder, Nancy Thurston, and Carol Ridgeway. Sons James, Philip and John Previti. There are also 21 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday April 22, 2009 10 AM at Burrier-Queen Funeral Home and Crematory, P.A., 1212 W. Old Liberty Rd. Winfield, MD 21784 with the Rev. Vicki Curry officiating. Interment will be in Fort Lincoln Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Funeral Home on Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM where a Masoic Memorial Service will take place at 6:30 PM.
