Jean Jordan Hildreth, ‘Momma Jean,' died in her home on November 8th, 2016 after three and half years of living with cancer. She is survived by her beloved husband of 40 years, Kim H. Hildreth; her daughters and their families: Callie Hildreth, Josh Thames and Tadpole, Kendra, John, and Lila Havens-McColgan. She is also survived by her siblings: Linda and her husband Graden Laycock, and Bobby and his wife Karen Jordan.

Jean was born July 31, 1951, and grew up in Silver Spring, Maryland. After marrying Kim in 1976, they lived in Norfolk, Boston, and Ohio before returning to Maryland, where both of their daughters were born. She will be remembered for the joy she shared with others, her willingness to support the people she loved and cared about, and being devoted to her family. Jean shared a brightness with the people in her life and strived to encourage others to find their unique paths.

A wake and celebration of Jean’s life will be held on November 12th with the wake beginning at 5pm and the celebration of life beginning at 7pm. Please join us at the Burrier-Queen Funeral Home located 1212 West Old Liberty Road in Sykesville Maryland to celebrate and remember Momma Jean. In lieu of flowers, please donate to Lung Cancer Alliance, PO Box 418372 Boston, MA 02241 in memory of Jean.
