Jean Janet Sirk (nee Gray), age 68, of Woodbine, passed away at home peacefully and surrounded by family on Monday, May 15, 2017, after a courageous battle with lung cancer. Born January 1, 1949, in Olney, Maryland, she was the daughter of the late Clifford Theodore Gray, Sr. and Helen Virginia Gray Fleming. She was the beloved wife of Jasper Lee Sirk, Jr. She is survived by her children Lisa and Frank Shamer of Woodbine and Leah Mader of Westminster; her grandchildren Brett and Stephanie Shamer of Woodbine, and Delanie, Devin and Daegan Mader of Westminster; her step-children Jasper Lee Sirk, III of Lisbon and Angela (Bill) Buckner of Woodbine; her step-grandchildren Marissa and Mason Sirk of Lisbon. She is also survived by her mother-in-law Marion Sirk; sisters Thelma Mack, Edith (George) Myers, Ruth (Darrell) Ridgely, and Joan Cunningham; special cousin Janice (Jerry) Dixon; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister Helene Warfield and brother Clifford Gray Jr. The family will receive friends on Thursday, May 18, 2017 from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 pm at Burrier-Queen Funeral Home & Crematory, PA., 1212 W. Old Liberty Road, Winfield, MD 21784, where a funeral service will be held on Friday, May 19, 2017, at 11:00 am. Interment will follow in True Gospel Cemetery in Lisbon.
