Jeanne O. Kelly (nee Oleinik), 96, formerly of Kensington, MD, died Tuesday, October 1, 2024 at Edenton Retirement Center in Frederick, MD.
Jeanne was born on July 26, 1928, in Washington D.C., the daughter of the late Joseph and Jane Oleinik (nee Flournoy). She was the widow of John Leo Kelly who predeceased her in 2004.
Jeanne was a wonderful homemaker to her ten children and her love for her family was infectious. She and Jack loved to travel the country after Jack retired. Jeanne had many hobbies which included her love of cooking, gardening, and raising chickens when she lived in Mt. Airy, MD. Jeanne’s love for sports was incredible but her passion for the Washington Redskins was strongest. She loved watching her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren play and she enjoyed attending their games, concerts, and special events.

Jeanne was predeceased by her daughter, Kathleen Adams and her son, Timothy “Timmy” Kelly. Dear sister to Margaret Folan, Dallas, TX; Mary Ann Rimel, Washington, D.C.; Cathryn Evans (Joe), Mt. Airy, MD.
She is also survived by 21 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
Relatives and friends may call at Holy Redeemer Church, 9705 Summit Ave and Cable Dr., Kensington, MD 20895 on Thursday, October 10, 2024 from 10:00-11:00 AM, with a Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 11:00 with Pastor Mark Hughes officiating.
Interment at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, 13801 Georgia Ave., Silver Spring, MD 20906.
