Joel Malcolm Tidman, age 77, of Finksburg, formerly of Hanover, PA and Arbutus, MD, died Wednesday, August 23, 2017 at his home.
He was born July 27, 1940 in Glassboro, New Jersey, the son of the late Edward William Tidman and the late Jacqueline Cake Tidman.
He served in the US Army, was an Employee for Springfield State Hospital Water Treatment Plant for 20 years; and also was a bricklayer.
He was the husband of Patricia C. Tidman.
He was the father of Richard Tidman and wife Debbie of Finksburg, brother of Daniel Stull and wife Helen of Alabama and half-brother Rob Ross; grandchildren Nickole Myers, Heather Flanary and husband Donnie, Kristofer Tidman and wife Shannon; also survived by 7 great grandchildren; preceded in death by son John Tidman and grandson Richard Damuth.
Memorial Service will be held at Burrier-Queen Funeral Home & Crematory, PA., 1212 W. Old Liberty Road, Sykesville, MD (Beside South Carroll High School), on Saturday, September 9, 2017 at 10:00 AM with Pastor Terri Rae Chattin of St. Paul’s U.M. Church in Sykesville, MD. Private Interment.
