John “Tad” Douglas McFarland, 84 of Fairhaven in Sykesville.
Died Monday, April 17, 2017 at home. He was the Beloved husband of Nancy Marie (Kahmer) McFarland. He was born June 24, 1932 in Hancock, MD the son of the late Stanley Jefferson and Edna Lee (Giegas) McFarland.
He was a Draftsman/Designer for Whitman Requardt and Associates. Mr. McFarland served in the US Army. He was a member of Covenant of Grace Church.
Surviving in addition to his wife are Sons and their spouses: Douglas S. and Karen McFarland of Westminster and Bret C. and Terri McFarland of Frederick. Grandchildren: Olivia McFarland Marks, Scott A., Katie and Kim McFarland. Great-granddaughter :Hannah. Brothers: Carter Lee and James Edward McFarland. Preceded in death by brothers C. Victor and Stanley J. McFarland.
