John Adam Palmer, Sr., age 78, of Sykesville, MD, died on Thursday, April 6, 2023, at Carroll Hospital Center in Westminster, MD.
He was born November 5, 1944, in Ellicott City, MD., the son of the late Judson Miller Palmer and the late Laura Irene Palmer (nee Harr).
John was the husband of Ruth N. Palmer (nee Gottleib).
He served in the United States Air Force, worked for Montgomery Wards as a Shipping Manager, enjoyed cutting grass, gardening, mulching, hunting, fishing, motorcycles and Car shows.
He was the father of John Adam Palmer, Jr., Megan Nanette Klein, Katie Marie Ferstermann, and Samantha Irene Raynor; father-in-law of Leroy Lawrence Ferstermann III, Jacob Adam Klein and Gene Michael Raynor, Sr.; survived by 7 grandchildren: Natalie Nanette Klein, Kyle Anthony Rizzo, Jacob Adam Klein, Jr., Mackenzie Irene Ford, Adam Matthew Ferstermann, Gene Michael Raynor, Jr., and Gage Isacc Raynor; brother of Catherine, Mary, Goldie, Samuel, Lawrence, and Kenneth.
Friends may join the family at the Burrier-Queen Funeral Home & Crematory, PA., 1212 W. Old Liberty Road, Sykesville, MD 21784 (Beside South Carroll High School) on Monday, April 10, 2023 from 5:00 PM-7:00 PM; with a Memorial Service and Military Honors starting at 7:00 PM; with the Ruling Elder Charles Klein.
