Joyce Browne

Joyce Elistine (Howard) Browne, 69 of Mt. Airy, MD, died Friday January 14, 2011 at Frederick Memorial Hospital. She was the spouse of Edward P. Browne. She was born October 6, 1941 in Crisfield, MD. The daughter of the late Harold Howard Sr. and the late Lutisha (Marshall) Howard. Mrs. Browne was a Program Manager for Cancer Research at the National Institute of Health. She enjoyed Knitting and was a member of the Mt. Airy Knitters, She was a volunteer at Frederick Memorial Hospital and Head Clan Mother of the Pocomoke Indian People. Surviving her in addition to her husband are Son and daughter-in-law Jeff and Amy Cornett of Martinsburg, WV, Daughter Sandy Cornett of FL , Step-children Jason Snyder of Rockville, Ed and Christine Browne of Zion, IL Grandchildren Randy Snowman, Jr. Timothy and Thomas Browne and Ethan Cornett. Funeral Services will take place Wednesday, January 19, 2011 12 Noon at Burrier-Queen Funeral Home and Crematory, 1212 W. Old Liberty Rd. Winfield, MD 21784 with the Rev. Dennis Yocum of Calvary U.M. Church in Mt. Airy Officiating. Interment to follow in Pine Grove Cemetery, Mt. Airy, MD. The Family will receive friends Tuesday 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM at the funeral home.
