She was born November 18, 1911 in Bunker Hill, West Virginia, the daughter of the late Lawrence Bowen and the late Etta Lee Bowen (nee Rogers).
She was a homemaker. She was a member of the Westminster Moose.
She was the wife of the late Charles R. Fries.
She was the mother of Betty L. Sponaugle of Sykesville; grandmother of Robert C. Walters and Eleanor Walters of Reisterstown, MD.

Old Liberty Road, Sykesville, MD (Beside South Carroll High School) on Friday from 6-8 PM; where Funeral Service will be held Saturday, November 4, 2017 at 10:30 AM with Pastor Lynne Humphries-Russ officiating; Interment Lake View Memorial Park.
