Kenneth Darling

Kenneth Duane Darling, age 69 of Finksburg, MD died, Wednesday, July 12, 2017 at the Dove House. Duane was the spouse of Gerri J. Darling. He was born June 12, 1948, the son of William Donald Darling and the late Ethel Darling (Higgs) in Baltimore. He was a retired EMT with the Baltimore County Fire Department.
Duane served in the U.S. Army reserve from 1967 – 1973.
In addition to his father, he is survived by his wife, Gerri J Darling (Yelton), of Finksburg, his son, Chris and Beth Darling, of Virginia Beach, VA, his brother Ronald and Peggy Darling of Manchester, and his grandchildren, Carrie Grace Darling and Hannah Joy Darling, of Virginia Beach, VA.
Mr. Darling was a devoted son, loving husband, exemplary father, and loving grandfather. He loved his family dearly and spent every waking moment doing everything that he could to make sure that they had what they needed, even when it meant sacrificing oh himself. He will be dearly missed.
Services will be conducted at Burrier-Queen Funeral Home & Crematory, PA., 1212 W. Old Liberty Road, Sykesville, MD., 21784 (Beside South Carroll High School) on Tuesday, July 18, 2017 at 11:00 with Rev. Christopher Darling of Virginia Beach presiding.
Interment will be in Lake View Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends at Burrier-Queen Funeral Home & Crematory, PA., from 2-4 and 6-8 PM on Monday, July 17, 2017.
