Kenneth “Ken” Todd Hamby, 61 of Waynesboro, PA passed peacefully surrounded by his family on Wednesday, May 10, 2023.
He was born May 4, 1962, in Hagerstown, MD; he was the son of Margaret Mae (nee Polston) Bowman of NC and the late Kenneth Eugene Hamby.
Ken was the beloved husband to Terry L. (nee Frizzell) Hamby for 23 years.
He retired as a Day Building Supervisor with Howard County. In his retirement he worked as the Fire Police, School Security, and a Crossing Guard in Waynesboro area School district. Ken enjoyed hunting; and was a Veteran of the United States Army and a former member of the Lisbon Volunteer Fire Department. Ken loved his dogs Shadow and Thunder.
Surviving in addition to his wife Terry Hamby and his mother Margaret are stepdaughter Melissa Caslow, grandson Brian H. Blackburn, Cousin Denny Hamby, nephew Eddie Cason, sister-in-law Sherry Musgrove, brother-in-law Earl Fenstermacher, Jr. and a few nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his brother Randy Hamby and sister Christy Fenstermacher and brother-in-law Albert Musgrove.
The family will receive friends Monday, May 15, 2023, from 4 PM to 7 PM at BURRIER-QUEEN FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, P.A., 1212 West Old Liberty Rd. Sykesville, MD where funeral services will be held Tuesday, May 16, 2023, at 11 AM.
Interment Lake View Memorial Park, Sykesville, MD.
A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, May 21, 2023, at 3 PM at Waynesboro Seventh Day Adventist Church at 1 State hill Road Hwy 997 Waynesboro, PA 17268.
