Kristie Mattson Gray suffered a fatal accident on Tuesday July 4th 2023.
She is the daughter of Rich and Sherrie Mattson and is survived by her brothers Michael and Daniel Mattson and children Austyn, Karleigh and Devon.
She attended Magruder High School and St Leo University. After a career with Montgomery County Fire Rescue, she turned to her true love of raising and training eventing horses. A fierce competitor of many equestrian events and an experienced teacher, many came to her to learn her skill from a generous heart who loved her career. Impossible to constrain, she claimed nature and the outdoors as her office and filled her observations of life with a humor that belonged on stage. She will be missed by all who loved her uniqueness, benefitted from her talent and laughed in her presence.
A Celebration of Life Mass will be held at St Peter the Apostle Catholic Church in Libertytown Maryland at 11:00am on Friday July 21st. Gathering before starting at 10:15 is welcome.
