Leola Stout

Leola “Lee” E. Stout, age 90 of Eldersburg, MD, died Monday April 30, 2012 at home. She was the spouse of the late Sr. Master Sgt. Francis Arling Stout for 66 years. She was born October 2, 1921 in Philadelphia, PA, daughter of the late Albert Lutz and Elizabeth (Laros) Lutz. She graduated with the class of 1939 from Easton High School, PA. She attended the Christian school of Houghton College, Houghton, NY. She supported her husband’s Military career and was active in his Christian Baptist Ministry and bible studies; residing in Clinton, MD for 27 years. She retired as a civil service Branch Secretary for the US Naval Research Laboratory Space Science Division, Washington, DC and resided in Interlachen, FL for the next 20 years before returning to MD. Her passions were holding babies, crocheting, playing the organ and singing hymns. She loved poetry, the beach, listening to the ocean and feeding the seagulls. Surviving are Son Ronald Francis Stout of Upper Marlboro, MD, Son James Lee Stout of Reston, VA Daughter Ruth Ann and Pete Maitland of Sanford, FL Daughter Janet Louise Stout of Eldersburg, Son Robert Edwin Stout of Upper Marlboro 15 Grandchildren and Numerous Great-grandchildren, Nieces and nephews and Great-Nieces and Great Nephews. Chapel and Graveside Services will take place Wednesday, June 27, 2012 at 9:00 AM at Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington VA. With the Rev. Brian Mentzer officiating. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to The Columbia Light House for the Blind 1825 K St. NW Washington DC 20006 or to the Gideon’s Bible International 2900 Lebanon Rd. Nashville, TN 37214.
