Lillian Purcell

Lillian Gertrude Purcell, 80 of Mt. Airy, MD formerly of Medford, MA, died October 31, 2006 at Our Family Assisted Living in Mt. Airy, MD. She was born September 24, 1926 in Lynn, MA, the daughter of the late Timothy Bernard Purcell and Mary Gertrude (Surette) Purcell. A devoted mother of five through her marriage to John T. Gamrecki (later divorced); son John Jr. predeceased her in 1988. She is survived by Charles in Massachusetts, Sandra Diane Blond and her husband Michael in Maryland, William in Massachusetts, and Richard and his wife Cheryl of New Hampshire, as well as her beloved brother Richard and his wife Barbara of Malden, MA. Ms. Purcell lived in Medford from 1966-1989, moved to New Hampshire upon retirement from Verizon in 1989, then moved to Maryland in 2004. A funeral Mass will be offered at St. Raphael Parish, 512 High St., Medford, MA on Saturday, November 18, 2006 at 11 AM.
