Lillie Boone

Lillie Ruth Boblitz Boone, age 93, of Westminster, formerly of Woodbury, died Monday, November 29, 2010, at Brinton Woods Nursing Home in Sykesville. She was the wife of the late Charles “Pat” Boone, Sr. She was born November 16, 1917 in Baltimore, MD, the daughter of the late Walter Boblitz and the late Birdie Barger Boblitz and the late step-mother Elsie Boblitz. She was a homemaker. She worked at Hooper Mill and was a secretary at St. Thomas Aquinas Church and a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Mothers Club. She enjoyed bowling and was an accomplished seamstress. She enjoyed music and movies of Frank Sinatra. She was the mother of Barbara A. Fogler of Westminster and the late Charles C. “Pat” Boone, Jr. She was the sister of the late Oliver Boblitz and the late Emma Long. She was step sister of Roy Belchner and Helen McCabe and Estella Zinkahan. Grandmother of Charles T. Boone, John M. Boone and Steven M. Boone, Kathleen D. Boone; great grandchildren: Nicole M. Boone, Josephine H. Shaver and Sophia L. Shaver. Catholic Prayers will be held Friday, December 3, 2010 at 11:00 AM at Burrier-Queen Funeral Home & Crematory, PA, 1212 W. Old Liberty Road, Winfield (Beside South Carroll High School) with Deacon Joseph Cinquino of St. John’s R.C. Church in Westminster officiating. Interment Druid Ridge Cemetery, Pikesville, MD.
