Lisa Ann Alascia-Bierman, age 62 of Westminster, MD passed away on Saturday, August 26, 2023, surrounded by her family.
She was born April 27, 1961, in Catonsville, MD the daughter of the late Joseph Frank Alascia, Sr. and the late Margaret Alice “Sally” Alascia (nee Burger).
Lisa Alascia-Bierman attended Catholic School in Catonsville, Maryland. She was a successful server/bartender for over 20 years. For the past 11 years, she was a loyal customer representative for Country Pride Food Services.
Lisa was the life of the party, the first one on the dance floor and karaoke mic. She was a member of the American Legion of Arbutus (Dewey Lowman 109), She enjoyed cooking Italian family recipes and being a Gmom to her grandpups, Winnie and Ollie. Her daughter, Jena, was the apple of her eye and the love and loyalty she had for her family was unwavering.
She was the person you could go to for anything without judgement, or if you needed a good belly laugh. She will be missed terribly.
Devoted mother of Jena Bierman (Chad). Beloved sister of Samuel Alascia (Kathie), Michael Alascia, Sr. (Susan), Dino Alascia, Stacey Alascia and Angela Alascia (Gabe); Preceded in death by sister Gina Wilder and brother Joseph F. Alascia, Jr. Also survived by Godson Michael Dennis Alascia; her loving companion Phillip Johns and Jena’s father John Bierman. She was loved by all her nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, August 31, 2023, from 3-5 & 7-9 PM at Burrier-Queen Funeral Home & Crematory, P.A. 1212 West Old Liberty Road Sykesville, MD 21784 (Beside South Carroll High School). Where the funeral service will be held on Friday, September 1, 2023, at 11:00 AM.
Interment at Ebenezer U.M. Church Cemetery, Woodbine, MD.
