Lois Classing

Lois Leona Classing (nee Lookingbill), age 80, of Hagerstown, died Thursday, March 1, 2012, at Julia Manor Health Care Center in Hagerstown, MD. She was born November 17, 1931 in Baltimore, MD the daughter of the late Hubert Lookingbill and the late Thelma Rickerds Lookingbill. She was the wife of William W. Classing, Jr. of Hagerstown for 20 years and the late Claude E. Haines, Jr. for 40 years. Mother of Sharon Cole and Kevin Haines and step-mother of William Michael Classing. Predeceased by son Claude Edward “Bucky” Haines III and daughter Michelle “Shelly” Quillen. Sister of Wanda Cutsail and the late Peter Mantz and late Sonny Lookingbill. Also survived by 6 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren and several great great grandchildren. She was a housekeeper at Fairhaven, Member of Mayberry 1st Church of God in Carroll County; she was a resident of Maryland all her life. She enjoyed camping, cooking and flower gardening. Friends may call at the Burrier-Queen Funeral Home & Crematory, PA, 1212 W. Old Liberty Road, Winfield, MD (Beside South Carroll High School) on Sunday from 2-4 & 7-9 PM; where funeral service will be held on Monday, March 5, 2012 at 1:00 PM with the Pastor Robert C. Wills, Jr. of Mayberry First Church of God in Westminster officiating. Interment Pleasant Ridge Cemetery.
