Lydia Iris Parrish (nee Rothman), age 82 of Hampstead, MD; formerly of Reisterstown, MD, passed away Tuesday, April 8, 2025, at Autumn Lakes Healthcare in Manchester, MD.

She was born May 21, 1942, in Baltimore, MD the daughter of the late Max Rothman and the late Elizabeth Evelyn Rothman (nee Levin).

Lydia was the beloved wife of the late Norman B. “Tony” Parrish for almost 43 years.

She was a retired Medical File Clerk for 14 years with American Radiology; prior, she worked at Barre-National for many years.

Lydia was kind, caring, friendly and a hard-working lady who always put others first. She loved her family dearly and cherished being a wife and mom and was always willing to help out and be involved with her grandkids. She took great pride in caring for her animals. She enjoyed cooking and baking for everyone especially during the holidays, playing bingo with family and friends, making ceramics, selling Avon, completing crosswords, Senior Center daytrips with her mother, and feeding seagulls and hummingbirds. Lydia and her husband spent weekends at their mountain home in Rio, WV where they made many long-time friends. In the kids’ younger years, she enjoyed family camping trips to many places including the Shenandoah Mountains and Cherrystone Campground. She participated and volunteered in many of the kids’ activities such as Scouts, Brownies, swimming, and bowling. She was also active in community activities in Reisterstown. Eeyore and Stitch were her favorite characters.

Surviving are daughter Lorrie B. Rodski and husband Christopher B. Rodski; son Michael W. Parrish and wife Cindi Parrish; son Richard F. Parrish; grandsons Bradley Rodski, Jared Parrish; granddaughters Savannah Parrish, Kara Rones, and Hailey Parrish; great grandchildren Hunter Parrish, Sidney Rones, and Wesley Rones.

Mary Geoghegan was a loyal, long-time family friend and devoted caregiver for Lydia in her most needed late years.

She is preceded in death by her brother Mitchell Rothman.
