She was born May 7, 1915 in Woodbine, MD the daughter of the late Ollie Porter and the late Mamie Porter (nee Green).
She was a homemaker. She was a member of Jennings Chapel Church in Woodbine.
She was the wife of the late Russell C. Bennett
She was the mother of Ollie R. Bennett and wife Shelby J. of Woodbine, Gerald E. Bennett and wife Joan F. Bennett of Woodbine and the late Linda K. Halterman and her husband Samuel Eugene of Woodbine.
She was the sister of Elsie Conaway of Woodbine, Irene Gue of Mt. Airy , Myra Davis of Mt. Airy, Dollie Barnhart of Westminster and Irma Jane Gartrell of Mt. Airy .
Also survived by 7 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren

Graveside service will be held Friday March 11, 2005 at 10:00 AM at Poplar Springs Cemetery with the Rev. Charles P. Leger of Poplar Springs and Jennings Chapel U.M. Church officiating.
In lieu of flowers, Memorial Contributions may be made to Jennings Chapel U.M. Church , Building Fund, 2601 Jennings Chapel Road , Woodbine , MD 21797 .
